Refreshed Tiger Returns |

Tiger Woods who was away from the tournaments for the past 12 weeks is returning to the game. Woods has faced the near death of his game, lots of criticism and adversities in his game in the past 20 months. He wasn’t able to win the tournaments since the Australian masters in 2009. According to the standards of this player this is a long gap. Woods had recovered from knee and Achille’s tendon injuries that he was suffering. Woods seemed eager to return to the game he said that he is now good to go and has plans for winning the tournament. He will make a re-entry to the game at the Bridgestone invitational World Golf Championship at the Firestone Country Club this week.
After the events of 2009 which lead to his divorce, he was not the same woods he has been. His mind was not in the game and he failed to win miserably. But he had taken enough time to reflect on the things that happened and has decided to move forward. He said that remaining away from the game for the past three months had created a strong urge to return to the game and so he is here to play. He has won 14 majors in his career and has won the Bridgestone tournament seven out of nine times he played the match. He said that he wanted to beat the young players in the game; it gives him more drive to play. People who know about him believe that woods would not have returned if he has any doubts about winning.
He was only fourth in the masters that held in April this year and with drew from the Players cup after a month due to his injuries. In the four pre-masters game he played this calendar year he finished 44th, 33rd, 10th, and 24th in that order. He has ranked 28th in the latest World Golf Ranking. He has to give his 100% performance at the Bridgestone and the PGA Championship in Atlanta next week to qualify for the ending play off of the tour’s season. According to him he is in the uncomfortable zone and he wants to get back to the place where he belonged. But that will not be easy with the quality of the field he is going to play. Woods said that he had taken enough time to return as he has leaned from his earlier mistake of coming back too early.
