The projects mainly deals with audio commentating as we always listen during the matches but with lot more vivid details, or more precisely, descriptive, to those people with scanty eyesight.  The association CAFE in Europe has already started training volunteers from various cities who will be giving descriptive commentaries in each of the matches in the European leagues ahead of 2012.

This type of commentating is different from the conventional commentating that we all know. In this type of commentating the ambience will be such that will reveal the atmosphere at the stadium as well apart from the game statistics. Every detail of occurrences in the stadium will be described to the fans so that they do not miss out anything.

Larysa Sayevich, the coordinator of the ongoing project said in an interview, “To us commentating seems boring, and as if we are watching some black and white movie and not much importance is paid to it since most of us can see the game itself. But to those who cannot see, commentating can create rainbows of joy to them.” “I can see the project getting shape and it is a wonderful experience.”

Similar projects were undertaken during the Euro 2008 in Switzerland and Austria. The person under whose coordination the project saw the light of success, Martin Zwischenberger, is very much present in the ongoing project for the EURO 2012. Since this time Ukraine and Poland are the host countries, volunteers from the cities like Kyiv, Kharkiv, Lviv, Donetsk of Ukraine and Wroclaw, Gdansk, Warsaw, Poznan of Poland are being trained to carry out the purpose of the project.

The managing director of CAFE, Joyce Cook, said in a media conference, “Having discovered such large and sincere young people for volunteering the project, I am thrilled with the outcome of the fans when they learn about it.” “The trainees are impressively progressive and the success of the project will be overwhelming for sure.”

It is worth mentioning that many of the trainee volunteers had no past commentating experience and yet they have been very receptive and have developed their commentating skills drastically well.
