Are you running out of things to do in Boston at night? If the answer is yes, you can always watch a basketball game and catch the Boston Celtics playing in their home turf. Before you can do this however, you would need to secure the necessary tickets for the game show. Watching the Boston Celtics work it out on the hard court is not something that you would want to miss while you’re in Boston. Although there are other things to do in this lively and expansive city, getting the needed tickets for a basketball game is one of the most commendable.

Getting tickets to the Boston Celtics is relatively easy. You can either purchase them from land-based ticketing outlets, registered ticket brokers, and from ticket-selling websites on the Internet. Buying tickets online is the most convenient and often inexpensive way of securing your tickets to the NBA game. With just a few mouse clicks, registration procedures and verification on the web, you’ll be getting the exact ticket you are paying for. With the guarantees offered for web-based transactions, there is no reason for you to miss the much awaited game on the court.

Not only will you be able to buy advance tickets on Boston Celtic games from online sources, you can also choose from a wide selection of NBA tickets as well. Looking for the newest Tennessee Titans tickets? Or perhaps Los Angeles Lakers game tickets? Whatever NBA game tickets you are looking for, you can find them through the right ticket vendors. Since the Internet is one of the most convenient and cost-effective means to purchase tickets- from concert tickets to movie tickets and NBA games tickets- you don’t have to go anywhere for your ticket buying plans. Buying tickets right at home can be done by anyone, as long as you choose the right online sources.

By watching entertainment news and sports updates, you can keep yourself posted on the latest shows and games to look out for. Whether you are a concert venue fan, a movie and popcorn addict, or an NBA game aficionado, you can secure the right tickets at the right time if you know the latest in the world of entertainment and sports. Since amusement tickets are updated regularly, being late for the newest shows and games is not an option. Having the right tickets on hand when you need them is essential if you don’t plan to miss out on all the fun and action.

Why stay at home all day and night when you can watch sports and amusement shows to your heart’s content? For sports fans, taking a look at the NBA ‘08-’09 Season Outlook will update you on NBA team rankings and the predicted power teams by basketball experts and sports analysts. The Boston Celtics are predicted to be explosive this year according to one website. These predictions and updates make it all the more essential for you to obtain a ticket or two to the most exciting and adrenaline–filled NBA games, whether in Boston or anywhere else.

Baron Davis already might be regretting parting ways with the Golden State Warriors. His former team also probably wishes he never left.

With no team having fewer wins than his Los Angeles Clippers, a reportedly unhappy Davis makes his first appearance against a Golden State squad he ditched in the offseason as the struggling Pacific Division foes meet Saturday afternoon.

Warriors swingman Corey Maggette also will face his former team for the first time, having spent the previous eight seasons with Los Angeles.

Maggette signed a five-year deal worth $50 million in July about a week after Davis declined his $17.8 million option with Golden State for 2008-09, choosing free agency despite indications he wanted to stay in the Bay Area. The lure of playing in his hometown, along with the Clippers’ contract offer supposedly including more years and more money, caused Davis to sign a five-year deal with Los Angeles for $65 million.

Finally, a blowout that Kyle Singler and No. 8 Duke could enjoy.

Singler scored 19 points for the second straight game and the Blue Devils rolled into the 2K Sports Classic semifinals by routing Georgia Southern 97-54 on Tuesday night.

Nolan Smith added 13 points, and Gerald Henderson and Greg Paulus each finished with 11 for the Blue Devils (2-0), who weren’t satisfied in the slightest with their 31-point rout of Presbyterian 24 hours earlier.

“We won the game, it was kind of more negative stuff,” Henderson said. “We felt like we could be having more fun out there.”

So, after getting back to their trademark brand of basketball, they did.

The Blue Devils cranked up the pressure on their hostile home floor, turning 17 Eagles turnovers into 24 points and sparking two overwhelming runs to claim their 61st straight nonconference victory at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

Samir Nasri scored twice to give Arsenal a 2-1 victory over defending champion Manchester United on Saturday, revitalizing its Premier League title bid and alleviating the pressure on manager Arsene Wenger.

The France midfielder struck in the 22nd and 48th minutes at Emirates Stadium to snap a three-match winless streak in all competitions and lift the Gunners over Man United into third place in the standings.

Arsenal held on during six minutes of injury time after Rafael da Silva pulled a goal back for United in the 90th.

“I knew today that it was a big game for the future of the team … to keep in the race and knowing you can win big games is vital,” said Wenger, who has faced criticism about his 12-year record at the club. “It was a very important result. I couldn’t imagine what would have happened if we had lost today.”

The emergence of the Los Angeles Kings’ backup goaltender has the club looking to win three straight games for the first time this season on Tuesday when it hosts the struggling Dallas Stars.

Los Angeles (5-6-2) opened its season-high seven-game homestand 0-2-2, but has won its last two games thanks in part to unsung goaltender Erik Ersberg.

Jason LaBarbera was in goal for each of the Kings’ first 10 games, but Ersberg’s play is making it difficult for coach Terry Murray to take him out. He made his third consecutive start Saturday, and stopped 24 shots in the Kings’ 5-3 victory over St. Louis.

Ersberg made 26 saves in a 1-0 overtime loss to Anaheim in his first start last Tuesday, and then stopped 13 shots in a 3-2 victory over Florida on Thursday. The Kings are 8-5-3 over the past two seasons in games started by Ersberg, who is 5-2-1 with a 2.22 goals-against average and two shutouts in eight starts at Staples Center.

“It was a great week, two wins in the last two games and it’s fun for me to play games, too,” Ersberg said. “When we play like we say we are going to play I think we are a tough team to beat. When we play our system right and everybody is digging in and working hard it’s going to be tough to come and beat us here.”

Venus Williams beat Russia’s Vera Zvonareva 6-7 6-0 6-2 on Sunday to win the WTA Championships and complete an undefeated week at the season-ending event.

It was the first time the American had won the event after she reached the semi-finals in her previous two appearances. She retired injured on the second occasion, in 2002, and qualified but failed to play because of injury on five other occasions.

“It’s fantastic to end the season this way,” Williams told reporters. “I’ve never really had the opportunity to play this tournament very often so it’s really awesome to have that opportunity and to play well.”

Williams, unbeaten in her five matches this time, earned $1.34 million dollars, allowing her to overtake Martina Navratilova for fourth place on the list of top prize money earners in women’s tennis. Zvonareva received $715,000.

It was her third title of the year, following victories Wimbledon and Zurich.

The American began sluggishly and dropped her serve in the second game when she double-faulted and then made a backhand error.

In last night’s matchup against the Detroit Red Wings, the Toronto Maple Leafs made an interesting move. They tried defenceman Ian White at the position of forward. While this move was surprising, it is one that makes perfect sense if you think about it. Though the Maple Leafs dropped a close decision (final score 5-3), this move certainly made the game interesting, and gave the Maple Leafs a better idea of what Ian White can do for them offensively.

After the game, Ron Wilson was quoted as saying this could be a way for Ian White to keep his job and remain a part of the Toronto Maple Leafs. White has struggled this preseason in the defensive zone, and while he has shown some ability to create plays offensively, his poor performance in his own end has resulted in more than one goal being scored against the Maple Leafs. That is hard to overlook when you play defence, and your primary job is to keep the puck out of the net. However, as a forward, it is less of a concern, so when the Toronto Maple Leafs decided to try him out at this position, it was a logical move. In my opinion, Ian White looked much more comfortable last night up front than he does on the blue line. Granted, this was only one game, but the position of forward just seems a better fit for Ian White. He was involved in a number of scoring chances last night for the Maple Leafs, and I was surprised he didn’t come away from the game with a goal or two. He did manage to tally an assist though, and the Leafs were able to get a much better look at his puck moving ability, rather than the often blown coverage he has become known for in the defensive zone. Overall, his forechecking was good, his stickhandling was smooth, and he clearly showed his ability to create plays. I am hoping the Toronto Maple Leafs will play him again as a forward in tonight’s rematch against the Wings, so we can get another look at this interesting move.

I’m betting that if Ian White can impress again up front, he will remain a part of the Toronto Maple Leafs. As a defenceman, he just doesn’t play well enough in his own end to make this year’s lineup. The Maple Leafs are crowded this year on the blue line, and many of those players are known for playing sound defensive games. Guys like Jonas Frogren, Luke Schenn, Carlo Colaiacovo, and Jeff Finger have all been way ahead of Ian White in terms of defensive performance. If White hopes to make the Maple Leafs lineup this year, he might have the edge he needs if he can keep playing well up front. The Leafs forward lineup is far from decided at this point, so there may be room for him there. I will be watching tonight’s game with added interest to see what he can do for the Maple Leafs. For the remainder of the preseason, he will be fighting for his career, so I am hoping that determination will result in him creating some scoring chances, and possibly a couple of goals for the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Roger Federer won his hometown tournament for the third straight year on Sunday, beating second-seeded David Nalbandian of Argentina 6-3, 6-4 in the Swiss Indoors final.

The top-seeded Federer hit eight aces and conceded just seven points on his serve all match.

“Things are back into a groove the way I like it. I’m happy with the way I’m playing,” Federer said. “It feels great to win at home. Once you had it you want more of it and you want to do it over and over again.”

It was Federer’s fourth title of the season after victories at the U.S. Open, in Estoril, Portugal, and Halle, Germany. He is 4-4 in finals this season and 57-21 overall.

Federer improved to 10-8 against the 26-year-old Nalbandian, who won in Basel in 2002 and is a three-time runner-up.

The Argentine said Federer’s performance was among the best he has faced in their long rivalry that began as juniors.

“I didn’t play my best, but today he was very good,” Nalbandian said. “He was always winning his service games easy. So it was tough for me.”

The 27-year-old Swiss broke to lead 4-2 in the first set and again in the third game of the second set.

The fourth game of the first set epitomized the high quality of the tennis. Nalbandian saved five breakpoints, twice with aces, and eventually held after six deuces.

Have you ever purchased a ticket to a special event just to find out later that someone else got it cheaper at a different place? This happens most of the time to people who attend sport events, concerts, theaters, wrestling shows or any other special event. When tickets are sold out at brick and mortar stores the next obvious place to look for these passes are at online retailers and brokers but as you may think, brokers know they are the only source available to get these passes since they bought a significant amount of them just for that occasion.

People rush to buy these tickets at the very last moment or just the day before the event is schedule to happen; such habits tend to put us in a though position when it comes to negotiating the price of a ticket considering the circumstances. In a battle of those who control the supply of goods versus those who create the demand, the outcome is obvious, the one controlling the supply always comes on top and can even get away with a tremendous price increase as the number of people wanting the same ticket increases.

The best practice and advise anyone could follow in order to avoid such predicaments is to always buy their passes weeks (or even months) before an event is schedule, this lowers the competition for the same good which keeps the prices affordable. Buying tickets early can turn out to be a great investment because many of them will increase in price as the dead line for the even approaches, this is exactly how brokers and sources which resell these goods think.

If you have waited until the very last moment to purchase your tickets there are a few options available, assuming you still have a couple of hours to spare. Since prices my vary from broker to broker the best way to get a good deal - even at the last minute - is to do a price comparison among brokers, this can be accomplished by doing a quick Google search and bookmaking the results. The airline industry already has many of these price comparison sites but unlike event tickets they quote prices straight from the airline instead of a brokerage firm.

Negotiating ticket prices and getting a good deal requires the use of a broker comparison tool which will layout all the available deals and the companies offering them, this is certainly not new technology as this concept has been around for years, that’s the reason why such sites are convenient and easy to use even at the last minute!

TixPrice.com provides useful resources to compare ticket price among different sites.
